Equest Investments Balkans Limited (EIB), a British Virgin Islands registered company which was incorporated on 10th December 2003. The Company's A shares were admitted to trading on the Irish Stock Exchange on 20th April 2004, and latterly listed on the London Stock Exchange, AIM market, on 20 December 2006. As of June 2008, the Company de-listed from the Irish Stock Exchange, but continues to be admitted to trading on AIM.

EIB has a market capitalisation of some £190 million (ˆ284 million) and has shareholders including approximately 40 UK and European institutions.

EIB makes strategic investments in consumer growth led sectors in Bulgaria and its neighbouring countries - namely in Retail, Financial Services, Property Development & Land Banking, as well as Infrastructure. As at year end 31 December 2006 net assets were ˆ310.1 million including investments at fair value of ˆ227.6 million and cash of ˆ76.1 million. The company has invested in 12 companies in the Balkans to date.

EIB's strategic holdings include - Technomarket, Bulgaria's largest wholesaler and retailer of consumer electroncics and household applicances, Novera, which acquired the three concession holding companies for waste collection and transportation in Sofia, UNIQA Bulgaria (previously Vitosha Insurance), the fifth largest insurance company in Bulgaria, Immofinance, one of the leading Bulgarian residential and second home developers, Pelican Retail Holding, a development company for retail centres, Avto Union, one of the leading local automotive importers and distributors, Familia Stores, one of the leading Bulgarian food retail operators and Citadel Holding, which has entered into a forward sales agreement for the purchase of some 240 hectares on the outskirts of Bucharest.
